Paramount Pictures have released a brand new look at Taron Egerton stepping into the shoes of Elton John in this behind the scenes featurette for Dexter Fletcher’s Rocketman. In the clip, Taron is recording his cover of Elton’s hit ‘Tiny Dancer’ and talks about how much he has loved making the film.

In the featurette, Giles Martin (Music Producer) says that “Elton said I don’t think I have heard anyone sing my songs better than Taron” whilst the film’s director, Dexter Fletcher, says that Egerton is “so convincing.  His voice is incredible“.

A brand new poster for the film has also been released that features a shot of Taron Egerton as Elton John – photographed by visionary David LaChapelle, who has created a wealth of iconic imagery of Elton John throughout his career.

The film also stars a host of familiar faces, including Richard Madden, Jamie Bell, and Bryce Dallas Howard who will be playing Elton’s mother, Sheil Farebrother.

Based on a true fantasy, ROCKETMAN is an epic musical fantasy about the incredible human story of Elton John’s breakthrough years. The film follows the fantastical journey of  transformation from shy piano prodigy Reginald Dwight into international superstar Elton John. This inspirational story – set to Elton John’s most beloved songs and performed by star Taron Egerton – tells the universally relatable story of how a small-town boy became one of the most iconic figures in pop culture”
