Prey for Betty Gilpin and a bunch of other unfortunates who will be fighting for their lives in Blumhouse’s brand new action thriller The Hunt which has just released a brand new trailer. Warning contains a heck ton of gory fun.
From the mind of Lost and The Leftovers co-creator Damon Lindelof, along with Nick Cuse, The Hunt sees a shady organisation plan a special event for globalist elites to partake in a rather twisted sporting event, where a age-old manor will act as a hunting ground. There they can track down a handful of clueless individuals who have no idea how they got there but will most likely end up being someone’s head on a wall. Well, all of them except for Crystal (GLOW‘s Betty Gilpin) that is, who is on a hunt of her own for the woman that put her in this hellish position; Hilary Swank’s mysterious events organiser who is a touch on the sadistic side.
Looking like if The Purge didn’t take itself so seriously, The Hunt feels like a darkly humoured thriller with a very itchy trigger finger. Backed by a cast consisting of Ike Barinholtz, Emma Roberts, Justin Hartley, Glenn Howerton, and Amy Madigan, the chances of any of them making it out alive look pretty slim but we’d be lying if we said it didn’t look entertaining.
Take on The Hunt when it arrives in cinemas September 27.
