Playstation Celebrates 10 Years of Plus with 3 Free Games for Members

This year marks 10 years of Playstation Plus! To celebrate, Playstation is giving members a whopping three games this month! The lineup for July includes NBA 2K20, Rise of the Tomb Raider and a special bonus game, Erica. These will be available for PS Plus members to download from the 7th of July to the 3rd of August, along with a free 10-Year anniversary theme!

It’s hard to believe Plus has been running for a decade now, and the games chosen this month are varied enough to appeal to a range of gaming tastes, from sports to action to heavily narrative-focused experiences. It’s been a great ten years of this incredible service and we can’t wait to experience another decade of great, free games and online gaming!

Microsoft Renew Fable Trademark

It has been a long ten years for Fable fans; the last game in the extremely popular series was released way back in 2010. However, hope is not lost! As of last week, Microsoft applied to renew the Fable trademark with a new game in the series rumoured.

Hopefully, these rumours will be confirmed during the Xbox showcase scheduled later this month as Microsoft shows off the first-party content due for release on the Series X. With rumours floating around since 2018, it would be surprising if a new Fable game wasn’t in the works.

Worms Rumble to Include Battle Royale Mode!

Worms, one of the most beloved multiplayer party games around, has announced a brand new title called Worms Rumble, which will be available on the PS4, PS5, and PC in late 2020. It will be a first for the series, featuring real-time combat and multi-platform cross-play. It will also have various modes, including Deathmatch, Last Worm Standing, and Battle Royale.

There will also be an opportunity for players to earn custom skins, emotes, and more, akin to Warzone and Fortnite. Although this seems like an attempt to make even more money, it does work with the Worms format and seems like a natural progression given the current trends in online gaming.

To give players a taste of what’s to come, Team 17 are offering players to sign up for a closed Steam Beta, which you can sign up for here.

Bethesda to Create Fallout TV Series with Westworld Creators

The world of Fallout is coming to our TV screens! Amazon have officially commissioned a series produced by the creators of the extremely popular sci-fi show Westworld, Lisa Joy and Jonah Nolan, who will be working closely alongside Bethesda.

In a joint statement to Hollywood Reporter, Joy and Nolan stated that: “Each chapter of this insanely imaginative story has cost us countless hours we could have spent with family and friends. So, we’re incredibly excited to partner with Todd Howard and the rest of the brilliant lunatics at Bethesda to bring this massive, subversive, and darkly funny universe to life with Amazon Studios.”

We have no writers or official release date as of yet; however, it is certainly an interesting venture and one to look forward to!

Horizon Zero Dawn to Release on PC August 7th

Horizon Zero Dawn is officially losing its Playstation exclusivity status on August 7th as it becomes available on Steam and the Epic Games store for £39.99 ($49.99), which is an extremely reasonable price since it includes the base game with all of the available DLC.

The port will offer unlocked frame rates, dynamic foliage, controller mapping, improved reflections, and much more. You can check out all of the new features and benefits for the PC port in this trailer:
