Welcome back, Michael.

With the recent announcement of two new Halloween sequels coming from reboot duo David Gordon Green and Danny McBride, it seems that wasn’t all they had up their sleeve. Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends will be released in October of 2020 and 2021 respectively, bringing back franchise veteran Nick Castle for two more bouts under the mask. While Castle appeared briefly in last year’s Halloween as Myers (a signature head turn to look out for), this is incredibly exciting news for fans of the genre defining franchise. At this current time it’s unknown if Castle will be reprising his role to a more full capacity than his cameo, but it hasn’t stopped him sounding off his excitement to return over on his twitter page.

Thought to be the conclusion to this new saga of Halloween movies, the two sequels will also see Jamie Lee Curtis, Andi Matichak and Judy Greer reprise their roles. It is also thought (or rather hoped) that John Carpenter will provide new scores to both movies, after his sterling work on Gordon-Green’s interpretation. That is something I definitely need more of in my life.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on this! Are you happy Castle is returning? Or would you rather they leave the franchise alone?
