Want to start your day off right? Balanced breakfast? Catch up on the news? New trailer to Season 2 of David Fincher’s Mindhunters that’ll make you shiver like that Ryan Reynolds gif? Well of course you do, because like us, you’re pretty weird but also hugely excited for the return of Netflix’s thrilling series starring Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany as Holden Ford and Bill Tench, FBI’s first serial killer profilers who now look to be on their first official hunt, along with Anna Torv’s psychologist Wendy Carr.
Set to release on August 16th, the show will pick up during 1977, with attention being drawn to the Atlanta Child Murders which presumedly led to 28 deaths. The original show saw Ford and Tench speak to incarcerated murderers to begin building profiles which would dramatically readjust the investigative process. It even led to the creation of the term serial killers, which included Ed Kemper brought to life in tremendously disturbing fashion by Cameron Britton. He’s back this time around too, giving helpful tidbits on what makes killers think the way they do.
There interesting addition to this season also arrives in the form of Damon Herriman as Charles Manson. He’ll be recognisable as he’s also playing a younger version of Manson in Tarantino’s recent smash-hit (shock) Once Upon A Time in Hollywood which I’ve muted on Twitter so don’t tell me anything, okay thanks?
