The world waits with bated breath to see how the Wyld Stalyns played by Alex Tyler and Keanu Reeves will return in their upcoming threequel, with news and images of a beardless Keanu Reeves (woah) continuing to trickle out. The latest revelation that could warrant a ‘no way?! Way’ response is that Jillian Bell has now joined the cast for when Bill & Ted Face The Music.
THR has confirmed that the Workaholics star will be taking the role of a therapist who is on a mission to ensure that both Bill and Ted’s families remain excellent to one another on a weekly basis. That may prove a difficult task on its own, considering that the two heroic airheads are once again sent on a mission from the future that could risk the fate of the universe.
Set 28 years after the original film, Face the Music sees Bill S. Preston Esq. (Winter) and Ted “Theodore” Logan (Reeves) as middle-aged men struggling to cling to their glory days of when they travelled through time and beat Death at Battleships. It’s only when the message from the future calls them back into action, that the two are tasked to write a song that could save all life as we know it. Righteous.
Alex Tyler has been to keep fans in touch with what’s going on recently, and snaps suggest that they’re going to be making calls eventually that will see them zipping all over the place. Guiding them on their new journey is Galaxy Quest and Red 2 director Dean Parisot from a script written by Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, who were responsible for both Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure and their Bogus Journey. Here’s hoping their third trip proves to be one worth waiting for when the film arrives in 2020.
