Speculation surfaced last week, when Warner Bros. studios – who produced the original ‘Space Jam’ – announced a partnership with NBA Superstar LeBron James’ production company. The agreement will cover projects for TV, film and original digital content, furthering the conjecture that a ‘Space Jam’ reboot, starring the NBA’s leading man, could be in the mix. The decision comes hot on the heels of LeBron James’ critically acclaimed appearance in the recent Amy Schumer/Judd Apatow hit ‘Trainwreck’.

Warner Bros. have not formally announced any specific projects, but several media reporters have noticed that Warner Bros. filed new trademarks for ‘Space Jam’ last month. In a Twitter Q&A on Tuesday, LeBron did little to quash the rumors either, responding to a straightforward question about a potential sequel as so: “Maybe…Guess we’ll just have to wait and see. #LooneyToonsRock”.
